The Five Secrets of Making Social Media Work for Your Company
Over the course of these articles, you’ll gain a clear idea of what it takes to be effective in social media marketing.

With any new medium that becomes available, it takes a while for companies to adapt their marketing. After all, with so many different choices (direct mail, radio, TV, print, etc.) it’s no wonder why companies may be a little hesitant to jump into everything that’s out there.
So why do you really want to get into social media marketing? It comes down to the numbers. For instance, let’s take a look at Facebook. Facebook has over 500 million users. If it where a county, it would be larger than Brazil! Half of the users log in to Facebook every single day and are connected with over 80 calendars, social groups, and events.

Twitter has over 100 million different users and is adding an average of 300,000 users every day. The awareness of Twitter has grown from 5 percent back in 2008 to 87 percent in 2010. Keep in mind with Twitter, not all of the users are unique. Some individuals strategically create multiple accounts. We’ll talk more about that in the weeks to come.

Moving on to LinkedIn. LinkedIn has over 75 million users and connect over 200 different countries. Every single Fortune 500 is represented on the LinkedIn network.
So, why, in just a few years, has social media grown to the level it is at now? It differs from past marketing mediums. For example, both the phone and Internet were created with businesses in mind. Social networks were created with people in mind and a focus on connection. It has made a way for relationships to be cultivated through a new medium.

Actually if you go for facebook's history, you'll see that only 3 friends of harvard university initiated the plan to be connected with their other friends. And their plan to be connected, later became a successful one and everyone adapt it. Surprisingly there are only 1700 employees that are moderating Facebook's 500 million user base! Now how could that be possible? Fb does allow people for membership when they become 13. And you'll see more than 60% of Fb users are from early teens to mid 20s... Now this age group tend to get more attracted to interactive and fun stuffs rather than other informative articles. And these interctive stuffs are more informal and brief, what this age group loves. So, the programmers don't need much information for creating any Fb software. Perhaps that's why you'll see no ads though 365 million people read articles on Wikipedia but people view this site infrequently, specially when they need any references. Where people visit Fb frequently to see whether someone had knocked at their address or they got any answer from their knock to others.

That's right but we should use only Facebook. I think it is not sufficient for social networking in the globe..
We have to use another Social activities..Then we can build up our strength by others...

Thanks..
