It is entirely appropriate to say that there is a conflict in every groups and organizations. One group think conflict negatively wearers another group think it positively.

However there are three views about conflict. These views of conflict are briefly discussed below:
1.   The traditional view of conflict
2.   The Human relation view of conflict
3.   The interactions view of conflict
1.   The traditional view of conflict: The traditional view of conflict is that all conflict is harmful and it must be avoided. They viewed conflict as a synonym of violence, destruction and irrationality. According to this approach conflict arises from poor communication, lack of openness and trust, irresponsive of managers to the needs and aspiration of employees. This early view was prevailed from 1930s to 1940s.
2.   The human relation view of conflict: The human relation view of conflict argued that conflict is natural in every groups and organizations. They advocated the acceptance of conflict. According to them conflict cannot be eliminated and even sometimes it encourages group performance. This view was prevailed from the late 1940s to mid-1970s.
3.   The interactions view of conflict: The interactionist view of conflict is that conflict is not only positive force in a group but also an incentive for a group to perform effectively if there is existing harmony, tranquil and cooperative group. It is the modern approach that encourages a group leader to maintain minimum level of conflict to keep the group viable, self-critical and creative.

Therefore we can say that although there are various positive and negative views over conflicts. Some conflicts are important because it support the group and improve its performance.
