Managing channel conflict
Managing channel conflict: Sometimes the only solution to conflict is the dissolution of a channel relationship. However, companies that take concrete steps to facilitate communication can often find ways to resolve disputes. Remember that channels are meant to benefit all members. Therefore, companies should do everything they can to develop strong relationships in which all channel members have confidence in the overall desirability of the channel and in which clear, common goals eases the resolution of conflict. Thus the ways of managing channel conflict are-
• Establishing subordinate goals
• Exchange persons
• Cooperation
• Joint membership
• Diplomacy
• Mediation
• Arbitration
