Clamp the wires onto the pins. Use a small clip or vise to keep them firmly in place. None of the three wires should touch the other two.
Solder the wires to the plug. Use sandpaper to roughen the edges to make it easier to solder to metal. Apply solder to a pin. Heat the pin to melt the solder. Repeat for the other two wires.
