Financial Service using Mobile Telecommunication Network was a very new concept in Bangladesh until the first phase of 2011 when Dutch Bangla Bank Limited launched mobile banking service for the first time. It was not popularized at that point of time. But the scenario became different after the opening of 'bkash'.Since then, this sector is flourishing more than any other sector in the country. 'bkash' becomes the leading mobile banking service provider in the country. 'Rocket' (Name of the Dutch Bangla Bank's  Mobile Service) jointly hold 99% share of the total market.
