Narrated `Aisha:

When the verses of Surat "Al-Baqara"' about the usury Riba were revealed, the Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) went to the mosque and recited them in front of the people and then banned the trade of alcohol.

আবদান (র) ......আয়িশা (রা) থেকে বর্ণিত, তিনি বলেন: মদ সম্পর্কীয় সূরা বাকারার আয়াতসমূহ নাযিল হলে রাসূলুল্লাহ্‌ (সা) মসজিদে গিয়ে সে সব আয়াত সাহাবীগণকে পাঠ করে শুনালেন। তারপর তিনি মদের ব্যবসা হারাম ঘোষনা করলেন।
