Title: Sufficient lab facilities are urgent for teaching Engineering courses.

বিভিন্ন ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং সাবজেক্টে বিভিন্ন মেশিন ও যন্ত্রপাতির প্রয়োগ ও ব্যাবহার শিখানো হয়। এইগুলো শেখানোর সময় এর সাথে বিভিন্ন তত্ত্বীয় বিষয়াবলীও চলে আসে।
আমার অভিজ্ঞতা বলে ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং সাব্জেক্টে হাতে কলমে মেশিন ও ইকুইপমেন্টের সাহায্যে শিক্ষণীয় বিষয় গুলো অনেক সহজে শেখানো যায়। যা বই বা ক্লাস লেকচারের পাতার পর পাতা পড়িয়েও অনেক কষ্টেও শিখানো যায় না। ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং বিষয়গুলোর ক্ষেত্রে ল্যাব ও তত্ত্বীয় বিষয় গুলো একে অন্যের পরিপূরক হিসেবে কাজ করে।
ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং বিষয়ে অধ্যয়নরত ছাত্র ছাত্রীরা ল্যাবে বিষয়গুলো ঠিক মত শিখতে পারলে তাদের তত্ত্বীয় পড়াশুনা অনেক কম করলেও চলে। তাদের তখন কেবল দরকার পড়ে যা দেখেছে তাই পরিস্কার লেখনির মাধ্যমে খাতায় ফুটিয়ে তোলা।
আমার আরেকটি অভিজ্ঞতা বলে যে সব ছাত্র ছাত্রী ল্যাব খুব মনোযোগ দিয়ে করে তাদের সার্বিক ফলাফলও ভাল হয়। অপরপক্ষে ল্যাব কোর্সে যে দুর্বল তার সার্বিক ফলাফলও ভাল হয় না।
তাই যে কোন ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং কোর্স শিখানোর পূর্ব শর্ত হল যথেষ্ট পরিমাণ ল্যাব সুবিধা থাকা।
আমরা অনেক সময়ই ছাত্র ছাত্রীদের ভাল ফলাফলের জন্য বেশী পড়াশুনা করতে বলি। কিন্তু আমাদের এটাও খেয়াল রাখতে হবে যে ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং এর বিষয় গুলো হাতে কলমে মেশিনে দেখাতে না পারলে অনেকের কাছেই সেগুলো দুর্বোধ্য থেকে যায়। তাই অনেকেই আশানুরূপ ফলাফল করতে পারে না। এমনকি অনেকেই হয়ত পরীক্ষায় অকৃতকার্য হয়।   
তাই ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং বিষয় মাত্রই যথোপযুক্ত ল্যাব ফ্যাসিলিটি অর্থাৎ যথেষ্ট পরিমানে মেশিন ও ইকুইপমেন্ট থাকা জরুরী।

Laboratories are part and parcel for current applied science education system. Engineering is an applied science where the students learns the laws of physics, chemistry and mathematics and apply them in real world. To know how those laws are employed a practical demonstration is mandatory. Showing a process in a practical set up is several times effective than verbal demonstration of that process. Laboratory is a place where this can be done. Thank you sir for sharing this.

Lab is very essential for engineers
