Usually in our country we drink milk tea i.e. we boil the tea with water then add sugar and milk. But as we go on boiling the tea more and more caffeine is produced which stimulates our nervous system and removes drowsiness and restores alertness for sometime.
Although we need to have tea and coffee to keep our nervous system fresh and alert but too much caffeine is bad for our health.
In our country green tea is not so popular as milk tea or black tea. Green tea as we know from other posts is good for health. So we should make green tea in such a way so its nutrients are preserved when we drink it.
Procedure: we should boil water, then pour the water (around 1 liter) in a tea-pot. Then add a tea spoon of green tea in the hot water and stir. We should have it as a light tea. We can drink it hot or cold. Usually it is taken without sugar.
So lets drink GREEN tea and be healthy in GREEN BANGLADESH

Thanks madam for your useful knowledge sharing with us. In this manner I want to add some lines related to the health benefits of green tea.
Today, scientific research in both Asia and the west is providing hard evidence for the health benefits long associated with drinking green tea.
• University of Purdue researchers recently concluded that a compound in green tea inhibits the growth of cancer cells.
• There is also research indicating that drinking green tea lowers total cholesterol levels, as well as improving the ratio of good (HDL) cholesterol to bad (LDL) cholesterol.
• Researchers found that men who were given a combination of caffeine and green tea extract burned more calories than those given only caffeine or a placebo.
• Green tea can even help prevent tooth decay
To sum up, here are just a few medical conditions in which drinking green tea is reputed to be helpful:
• cancer
• rheumatoid arthritis
• high cholesterol levels
• cardiovascular disease
• infection
• impaired immune function

Green tea contains salubrious polyphenols, in particular catechins, the most abundant of which is epigallocatechin gallate. Green tea also contains carotenoids, tocopherols, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), minerals such as chromium, manganese, selenium or zinc, and certain phytochemical compounds. It is a more potent antioxidant than black tea, although black tea has substances that green tea does not such as theaflavin.
Green tea consumption is associated with reduced heart disease in epidemiological studies. One study has shown that it can reduce total and "bad" (LDL) cholesterol by decreasing cholesterol absorption.
