Title: Bangladesh Inflation Rate

Bangladesh inflation rate eased to 5.57 percent in January of 2020 from 5.75 percent in the previous month. Food prices advanced at a softer pace (5.12percent vs 5.88 percent in December) while non-food products cost rose faster (6.30 percent vs 5.55 percent). The inflation rates for rural and urban areas were 5.52 percent and 5.67 percent, compared with December's figures of 5.76 percent and 5.73 percent respectively. On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 1.17 percent, after decreasing 0.23 percent in the previous month.
