It is very shocked for us that though our university announced as "Tobacco Free Campus" but still students do smoke inside the campus, specially in the cafe area of prince plaza campus. No one shows care about that. It is very surprised for us because when anyone go in the cafe they offers us "Cigarette". As well as now we can't see the board of declaration of "Tobacco Free Campus" which was hanged after announced. Smoking is harmful for health. General students those who don't like smoking but they are affecting by this condition. Now a days beside this, our cafe condition is very poor. Overall position of Cafe area is odd-looking. Hope as soon as possible our authority will take effective action in this situation.

THNX! Debashis for ur response...YES I also do agree with u. We should take some steps against TOBACCO ...but the Authority along cant solve this problem. Because most of us are involved in this occurrence. Now a days no one wants to come to Canteen for having breakfast/lunch.:(

All of us have to work together against tobacco. If any body want to smoke, he/she should go to tobacco free zone, not in the campus or air-tight place.

The Cafe of Prince Plaza Campus is so dirty. It seems like no one maintain or keep clean this cafe/floor. On the other hand the cafe of main campus is far better than this cafe. Day by day this cafe is going impossible to seat and also for having our food. I hope our authority will take step about this matter very soon.

Recent situation of DIU Cafe area is horrible. It seems like a smoking zone.

Not only smoggy with tobacco, I found the place a bit indecent (due to the approach & gesture of a few male & female students), in and around the Cafe area of Prince Plaza Campus, which produces embarrassment among the general students. The management is very alert to resist the fact. The students also have some liability.
Each students should behave uprightly in and around DIU. Our dear students represent our beloved university.

Once the canteen is established in a month or so, all problems will be solved. We, some teachers and officials along with Mr. Assistant Proctors can visit the place occasionally and suddenly and instruct the students to behave properly and not to smoke. That would improve the situation, wouldn't it? Let's do it.

because i also see there
most of people gossip and smoking
not stay in this place any general minded student for this case.
they are discuss various unimportant topics.
then our cafe area is very small in our business faculty student
i think that's business faculty student is more between science faculty.
so that's why i think that our cafe area is not sufficient for our prince plaza campus.
please sir devlop our cafe area and environment. please Given some rules regulation for using cafe area.

Its really a great pleasure for us that DIU Cafe going to open very soon with big space and well decorated. Hope from this new cafe we will get a good environment, good food quality and will maintain hygienic.

We remain very hungry everyday, so we cannot wait anymore.......we need refreshment which we cannot bring from home....

I am very much shocked about the food quality in our cafe. The quality of foods are low. There are only 3-4 items of food. As an example, the price of shingara/shomocha 5 taka, with same price we can get much better than this beside our university campus. Same problem in other foods. So, if students get better quality food from other shop, why they will buy from our cafe? On the other side, a large number of students go for their launch in other fast food shop (example: Kok kok, BFC). Considering about all the students, I am not telling to give very high quality food, I know to get something better, we have to spend better. We have now a well decorated cafe but it will not come to any work if we get low quality food. My request please considers this matter.

Again some students start smoking beside our cafe. Not only smoking, they play cards through a long time. Yesterday I saw, when some official persons came in the cafe, a boy who works in the cafe started cleaning cigarette packets, ashes from the floor quickly. Everyone saw this, even our security guard and those who are operating our cafe but none of them said anything. In that floor one side our classes and other side our cafe, anyone can easily see what’s going on the cafe. From all this things can't we say it’s our lacking to provide a tobacco free campus for few students? Who knows, if it is not possible to stop now, it will spread rapidly throughout the cafe like before. So my request, please take some strong steps to stop from now.

Authority will install CCTV and we must identified the person and all student also help us by taking their picture through your mobile and send it to us.

I would like to thanks to our authority for reconstructing our canteen. Indeed it is well decorated, but food quality is not standard and they are not well prepared, they use several excuses to cover their lacking. Moreover there is insufficient arrangement of seating for both BBA, English, department students.
It is a good news that students are willingly coming to have snacks from the canteen. So I would like request to our authority to take initiative as soon as possible.

Gradually DIU canteen will turn to one of the enriched food place. Please cooperate us to maintain the proper and decent environment of the Cafe.

With the refurbishment of our Cafe at the Business Faculty Building (Prince Plaza), authority is determined to keep its environment decent, healthy & safe.
Admin. guys are getting habituated to inspect the cafe suddenly. A committee will be formed very shorty comprising of Faculty & Admin., who will look after and ensure the cafe environment fine.
Students are requested to keep the environment sound. If somebody is found violating the regulation, authority will brought him/her under punishment.

This cafe is very helpful to students of BBA.So we must keep our cafe clean and we must work for keeping sound environment of cafe.It can be done by our awareness only.

The quality of foods are much better in Main campus, on the other hand in our Business Campus, we got a well decorated cafe but I am sorry to say that we are not getting good quality foods.

We have passed many days but still not getting any variation in food item. They only sell 3-4 items of food. We the students are very much disappointed about food variation and quality of food, even they don't maintain any hygienic. We always informing in the cafe what we want but they don't bother about our wants. We are suffering for this problem from many days. Our requests to the authority please give us a solution.

Dear All
Plz keep patience for some time more and with the bless of ALLMIGHTY and your active support we will solve this problem within very short period. Due to some unavoidable problem with owner of that floor we failed to present a beautiful canteen for our students. But recently we solve this problem forever and now we will built a very good canteen there permanently. Besides the canteen there will be some other visible big changes within couple of months to increase the facilities for our students. We always appreciate the patience and active support of our students and hope it will continue in the future also.
