Title: The Blood Sugar Challenge
Post by: monirprdu on July 07, 2012, 11:04:04 AM
Maintaining healthy blood sugar levels in the normal range is a greater challenge than ever before. According to the American Diabetes Association, there are approximately 26 million Americans with diabetes, that’s 11.3% of the population. If those statistics weren’t startling enough, an additional 57 million are pre-diabetic with blood sugar levels that have gone above the normal range. Keeping blood sugar in the normal range conveys many health benefits: more energy, less fatigue, fewer food cravings, more even moods, better concentration and stronger immunity.

Maintaining normal blood sugar is also so important, because when blood sugar levels go out of the normal range it can lead to weight gain and lower energy, which in turn leads to insulin resistance and even more weight gain. Retaining normal blood sugar levels is a top priority, along with proper diet and exercise, for optimal health.
