I really like the movie- Gladiator 1990. I have watched the movie several times. It's a great classic movie. I have become a big fan of Russell Crowe after watching the movie. What is an expression of Maximus when he says to Commodus "My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next."

Positive Bangladesh / Re: Motivational Story
« on: March 31, 2012, 10:55:44 AM »
One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally he decided the animal was old and the well needed to be covered up anyway, it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement, he quieted down. A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well and was astonished at what he saw. With every shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up. As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and trotted off!

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a stepping-stone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up!

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

Free your heart from hatred
Free your mind from worries
Live simply
Give more
Expect less

I have attached a ppt file on Transitions. This power point file focuses on some basic uses of transitions. For example -
Corruption is not a big issue only in Bangladesh; in fact, corruption is spread everywhere in the world.

Transitions those have been discussed are given below:

Addition (Moreover, Furthermore, In addition, Besides)
Reinforcement/Emphasis (Indeed, In fact)
Exemplification (For example, For instance, In particular)
Contrast (However, On the contrary, In contrast, On the other hand)
Result or Effect (Consequently, Accordingly, Thus, Hence, Therefore, As a result)
Time [Meanwhile (at the same time), Subsequently (after), Thereafter (after) ]

Hope new learners shall enjoy it.

Motivating post.....Our every single thought is creating our future. If you say "I can not...I can not.....I can not" ...This every single CAN NOT is creating your future. How much you are attracting something whether positive or negative, you are making that positive or native thing happen faster. So try to find the POSITIVE.
