Abstract
Fuel Cell Technology has become quite popular now a days. Since it is a renewable energy source, the development of fuel cell technology has drawn much attention among the researchers and scientists over the last few years. The prime focus of this paper is to analyze and enhance the transient stability of a grid connected fuel cell system. A MATLAB/SIMULINK based fuel cell system has been implemented along with the proposed inverter control strategy. The purpose of this inverter control is to enhance the transient stability of the system. Another salient feature of this study is the inclusion of a Z source inverter with the grid connected fuel cell system. The simulation results are carried out to verify the inverter control strategy under different fault condition. Finally, this paper presents transient analysis of a grid connected fuel cell system including detail simulation results in MATLAB/SIMULINK environment.

STUDY OF MARINE ENRGY SYSTEM: AN EIGEN VALUE ANALYSIS:

“Green Energy” has been playing a major role for environment as well as meeting increasing power demand. Among various forms of green energy, marine energy has become quite familiar in last few years. This paper discusses small signal stability analysis of a grid connected fixed speed marine turbine driven induction generator (IG). A detailed mathematical model of IG, transmission line and grid is employed to derive the complete dynamic equation of the studied system. The power system small signal stability analysis is carried out by eigen value analysis and these results are investigated by simulation tools MATLAB/SIMULINK..

Fuel cells are an old technology. Problems have plagued their introduction. Present material science may make them a reality soon in specialized applications. The Solid Oxide Fuel Cell appears to be the most promising technology for small electric power plants over 1 kw. The Direct Alcohol Fuel Cell appears to be the most promising as a battery replacement for portable applications such cellular phones and laptop computers. It is difficult to tell at this moment whether fuel cells will be practical for transportation applications such as automobiles and buses or whether hybrid or electric vehicles will be more popular in the future. It is unclear whether hydrogen fuel will be widely used or whether a mostly electric economy will develop. Fuel cells are analyzed theoretically using the carnot ratio which, it is explained, applies to both heat engines as well as fuel cells. A simple second law analysis shows where the loss of efficiency in different fuel cells occurs.
