Daffodil International University holds orientation for fresher at Uttara Campus

The orientation program for the newly enrolled undergraduate students of Fall -2013 semester at Uttara Campus of Daffodil International University was held on September 30, 2013 at campus Auditorium. Professor Dr. M. Zakir Hossain, Director (Studies), Daffodil International University was present as the chief guest in the orientation program.

Presided over by Academic Director Prof. Dr. A.N.M. Jahangir Kabir, the function was also addressed among others by Prof. Dr. S. M. Mahbub-Ul- Haque Majumder, Dean, Faculty of Science and Information Technology, Professor Rafiqul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics, Prof. Dr. M. Golam Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Science, Prof. Dr. Golam Mawola Chowdhury, Proctor and Controller of Examination, Prof. Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Registrar, Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahman Raju, Director (Student Affairs), Mr. Anil Chandra Paul, Director ( Administration), Ms. Farhana Helal Mehtab, Head, Department of Law
The Orientation Program was conducted by Lecturer of Law Department Mr. Rajiur Rahman and Lecturer of English Department Ms. Ayasha Hamid and the program included introduction session, presentation session, briefing session and cultural session. Earlier the newly enrolled students were welcomed with a rose and tuberose.

Addressing as chief guest, Professor Dr. M. Zakir Hossain, Director (Studies), Daffodil International University advised the students to be a complete ideal human being, he said that three major things - discipline, honesty and quality education can make life successful. To be an ideal citizen of the country he advised the students to achieve these virtues and to learn to love the country and to be a true patriot. He urged the newly enrolled students to make the best use of the resources provided by the university and make them fit to face the challenges of the 21st century.
