what is the POP server for @diu.edu.bd

I have tried to import my email from my university email account (Domain @diu.edu.bd) to gmail using gamil mail importer. But there were a problem that is pop3 server port.  If the POP server is  - mail.diu.edu.bd- then what would be the port number. I think this is not the POP server name. So, for the domain - @diu.edu.bd- what is the POP server?

Dear Shahin,
You are a student of Computer science and Engineering but to see this post, I think that you are not familiar with reading. You and the students of Daffodil International University use @diu.edu.bd email address format. But the interesting thing is that this service is powered by Google as like as Gmail.

GOOGLE Application provides anyone to use their 'MX record'. An MX (mail exchanger) entry tells a client which server receives mail sent to a domain name. So we are using Google Application's service.

So just go to your email inbox and there exist an settings tab from there you can check your POP/IMAP settings. It is just as like as Gmail. Just use your username in your Email Client Software (outlook.. etc..) as username@diu.edu.bd

and The exact answer of Mr. Kazi Shahin is:

Pop: pop.gmail.com   Port: 995
SMTP: smtp.gmail.com     Port: 465


Just put it and save it for your DIU email server connection with your PC.

Yes I have got it. Now it's working.

When you start to apply the system you will find some option & filled with like, the POP user name of your user name & the POP user mane will be mail.diu.edu.bd & the port number is 110. You will face error. You have to change it like below.

POP user name: your_username.diu.edu.bd (like: k_shahin@diu.edu.bd)

POP server: pop.gmail.com

Port number: 995
