In our everyday life, we sometimes feel so annoyed by something that we want to complain about it. But for the complaint to be really effective, it has to be made in a tactful manner. A direct complaint sounds rude, so to be polite, we usually 'break it gently' and use expressions like these before we actually come to the point. For example:
I'm sorry to have to say this,but.....
Look I'm sorry to trouble you,but.....
I've got a bit of problem here, you see.....
I wonder if you could help me.....
More expressions?

Yep, I also believe that our complaints should be expressed in polite way so that other person feel good to solve it. We need solving, not fight. If becoming tactful gives us solution, then its of no use to use harsh words while complaining. We should not force others to do our work, rather we can create impression that those works are also of theirs, may be it will work better!

In order to make a polite complaint to be understood, there should the practice of maintaining polite attiude in a society because there are cases where politeness is regarded as weakness.

However, in a polite complaint one should use neutral words with a logical tone.

A complaint is defined as an oral or written expression of dissatisfaction or concern we may have about facilities or services provided by any organization, or about actions or lack of actions by the same or its staff.
A complaint is when you tell us that you are not happy about a particular service and wish to obtain a response on the matter.

Before making any complaint, we should ask others to justify whether the complaint is valid or not...because complaint varies from person to person. We, people, have different point of views and perception while some of us may have lack of understanding on the issue being complained. So, we should not complain for the sake of complaint only...
Those who worship the natural elements enter darkness (Air, Water, Fire, etc.). Those who worship sambhuti sink deeper in darkness. [Yajurveda 40:9]; Sambhuti means created things, for example table, chair, idol, etc.

Thank you, Irin apu for raising such a true issue. In post-modern era, goodness is treated as foolishness. Sometimes good and gentle behavior is treated as weakness what you have mentioned already.

Dear ma’am very good expressions. A complaint should be present positively to get positive feedback. Otherwise feedback could be harm for your career.

Some Expressions:
• I am amazed I got away with it.
• We were shocked by what we saw.
• I am worried about this happening again.
