Three-dimensional body scanning technology is the ability of the systems to capture the 3D image of a human body and extract measurements at precise locations on the human body. Body scanning system is performed without physical contact with the body and consists of one or more light sources, one or more vision or capturing devices, software, a computer system, and a monitor screen in order to visualize the data capture process. But now a days three-dimensional (3D) body scanning technologies were developed to aid-
1.   Linear or non linear measurements.
2.   Capturing of image.
3.   Analysis of fit.
4.   Mass customization of garments by the apparel industry

This system has various kinds.Like-
1.   Light-based systems.
2.   Laser-based systems.
3.   Microwave-based systems.
