تَقُلْ لَهُمَا أُفٍّ وَلا تَنْهَرْهُمَا وَقُلْ لَهُمَا قَوْلاً كَرِيماً

“তোমার প্রতিপালক নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন যে, তোমরা তিনি ছাড়া অন্য কারো ইবাদত করবে না এবং পিতা-মাতার প্রতি সদ্ব্যবহার করবে; তাদের একজন অথবা উভয়ে উভয়েই তোমার জীবদ্দশায় বার্ধক্যে উপনীত হলেও আদেরকে বিরক্তি সূচক কিছু বলো না। এবং তাদেরকে ভর্র্ৎসনা করো না; তাদের সাথে কথা বলো সম্মান সূচক নম্র কথা।” (সূরা বনী ইসরাঈলঃ ২৩)
