We Like to Believe We Control Our Minds. Freud Suggested Otherwise

Every day, we make thousands of decisions.
We choose our words carefully in meetings.
We remain calm under pressure.
We build relationships, pursue careers, and make life-changing choices.
We believe these actions are driven by logic, reason, and conscious thought.

But what if the most influential force behind our decisions is something we cannot even see?

More than a century ago, hashtag#Sigmund_Freud introduced a revolutionary idea that continues to shape psychology, leadership, education, and human behavior today:

The conscious mind is only the visible tip of who we are"
Like an iceberg, the greater part of our mind exists beneath the surface—hidden from awareness, yet constantly influencing how we think, feel, and act.

The most effective leaders understand that every employee, colleague, student, or client carries an invisible story that shapes their behavior.

Understanding people begins by understanding ourselves!

Freud challenged one of humanity's greatest assumptions—that we are always the conscious authors of our own lives. Also Freud famously observed:

''Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life, and you will call it fate."

Perhaps the greatest leadership journey is not managing others. It is learning to understand the mind allover that has been guiding us all along.
