Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed on Thursday appealed to the Indian conglomerate, TATA Motors, to set up a manufacturing plant in Bangladesh.

The function was presided by the chairman of Nitol Motors Abdul Matlub Ahmed. Among others, economic adviser to the prime minister Dr Mashiur Rahman and president of FBCCI Kazi Akramuddin Ahmed spoke at the function.

Delving on the achievements of the Bangladesh economy, he said “from a Tk 1,000 crore national budget, we have a Tk 250,000 budget now.”
Dr Mashiur Rahman in his speech echoed the sentiments of the commerce minister.
