Adding Odd and Even Numbers:
Totaling of two numbers follows a certain rules:
1. When 2 numbers added are even then the result will also be even
2. When 2 numbers added are odd then the result will be even
3. When 1 odd number added with 1 even number then the result will be odd
Adding 2 even numbers:
Step 1: Let us pick any two even numbers, say '2' and '16'
Step 2: Now, add those numbers (2 + 16 = 18)
Step 3: The solution derived is 18.
As both the numbers (2 & 16) were 'Even', the final solution obtained is 18 which is also an even.
Adding 2 odd numbers:
Step 1: Let us pick any two even numbers, say '11' and '13'
Step 2: Now, add those numbers (11 + 13 = 24)
Step 3: The solution derived is 24.
As both the numbers (11 & 13) were 'Odd', the final solution obtained is 24 which is an even.
Adding 1 even and 1 odd number:
Step 1: Let us consider any two numbers, for e.g. '2' and '9'
Step 2: Where 2 is an even number and 9 is an odd number
Step 3: Now, add two with nine (2 + 9 = 11)
Step 4: The solution obtained is 'Eleven'.
The numbers taken for addition was (2 & 9). Here, the second value i.e. 'Nine' was 'odd'. So, the final solution received will be odd.
