Merchandising is a lucrative business today. In garment and textile industry it is known as a 'white-collar' job. The field of merchandising is now flourishing with the expansion of textile and garment sectors in Bangladesh.

World renowned buyers are now more interested in Bangladesh than any other garment exporting countries. Due to political violence in Pakistan and Nepal, wage hike of workers in Vietnam and increased production costs in China and Turkey, the international buyers are losing interest in those countries. These developments have paved the way for creating scope for merchandisers in Bangladesh.

German brand Hugo Boss and Adidas are expected to start buying from Bangladesh from next year. A number of world class buyers are now closing business with China and turning to the buyers in Bangladesh. European and American world class brands are now expanding their businesses in Bangladesh. Besides, Europe and America, Japan will be a big market for Bangladesh within few years. All this good news will create a huge opportunity for the merchandisers.

Below is the list of jobs for giving you an insight into bright career that would follow the skills and knowledge gained through this degree:

1.   Apparel Designer
2.   RMG Manufacturer
3.   Product Manager
4.   Merchandiser
