Branding Bangladesh: time to go for an integrated policy

We all want more pals, but a Scottish survey suggests you should think twice before accepting your mom's friend request.
The whole point of Facebook is to keep up with your friends, right? You might think that adding friends means having more fun, but a small Scottish study says it's adding to our stress.
A report by the University of Edinburgh Business School has found that increasing friends -- specifically different groups of friends -- increases the potential for stress.
It's hardly earth-shattering news, but including parents or employers as Facebook friends resulted in the greatest increase in anxiety, according to the report.
"Stress arises when a user presents a version of [herself or himself] on Facebook that is unacceptable to some of their online 'friends,' such as posts displaying behavior such as swearing, recklessness, drinking, and smoking," the university said in a release.
"The more social circles a person is linked to online the more likely social media will be a source of stress."
Researchers surveyed 300 people, mostly students around 21 years old. They found that Facebook users have an average of seven different social circles.
"The most common group was friends known offline (97 percent added them as friends online), followed by extended family (81 percent), siblings (80 percent), friends of friends (69 percent), and colleagues (65 percent)."
The research follows studies suggesting Facebook is the second-most depressing activity cited by users, just under recovery from illness, and that those who frequent the site can suffer from Facebook envy.
Another finding from the Edinburgh poll is that more users are Facebook friends with former partners than their current boyfriend, girlfriend, or spouse. Also, only one-third of respondents said they use the listing privacy setting on their profile, which controls how information is seen by different types of friends.
"Facebook used to be like a great party for all your friends where you can dance, drink and flirt," report author Ben Marder of the Business School was quoted as saying. "But now with your Mum, Dad, and boss there, the party becomes an anxious event full of potential social landmines."

nature:
Description: 532 feet high / 162 meters high
940 foot span / 287 meter span
Réunion Island is a French territory located east of Madagascar Island in the Indian Ocean. Just 35 miles (56 kms) across, the region has become a popular tourist getaway as well as a permanent home to more than 800,000 residents.
Travel between the many coastal communities on Réunion Island has always been through a network of older, two lane roads that traverse in and around many deep rifts cut from rain runoff tumbling down the tall volcanic peaks that created the island. To relieve congestion on the west side, it was decided to build a 30 mile (50 km) north-south highway called the Route des Tamarins. Crossing dozens of huge ravines, the new route required the construction of 3 tunnels, 9 interchanges and 4 major bridges including the Saint Paul, the Trois Bassins and the Ravine Fontaine viaducts. The longest and highest crossing of all is the one over Grande Ravine.
Dropping almost vertical for much of its 532 foot (162 mtr) depth, the Grande Ravine site is perfect for a frame bridge. The design chosen by the engineers is a sleek, stealthy looking span with a 940 foot (286.5 mtr) long span box girder resting on two angled struts of just 20 degrees - an incline so shallow they almost look as level as the road deck! The concrete struts are part of a cantilever that is counterweighted on the back sides by two large abutments filled with tons of soil. Like many strut frame bridges that are hard to categorize among bridge types, Grande Ravine is especially complex with an arch effect only occurring under service loads. To construct the main span without using wind prone towers and a high line, the famous French bridge company Freyssinet designed a unique stay cable system to support the two half decks as they were launched out from either side of the canyon.

Nutritional status: The physiological condition of an individual that results from the balance between nutrient requirements and intake and the ability of the body to use these nutrients.
Hunger: People experience the sensation of hunger when they lack the basic food intake
necessary to provide them with the energy and nutrients for fully productive and active lives. Hunger principally refers to inadequate consumption of the macronutrients, carbohydrates in particular, and is an outcome of food insecurity. All hungry people are food insecure, but not all food-insecure people are hungry.
Malnutrition: A physical condition or process that results from the interaction of inadequate diet and infection and is most commonly reflected in poor infant growth; reduced cognitive development, anemia, and blindness in those suffering severe micronutrient deficiency; and excess morbidity and mortality in adults and children alike. Undernutrition and overnutrition are two forms of malnutrition.
Undernutrition: Malnutrition due to inadequate food consumption or poor absorption or biological use of nutrients consumed due to illness, disease, or nutrient imbalance. In addition to absolute deficit in food consumption, undernutrition frequently results from imbalanced diets in which sufficient macronutrients (carbohydrates, fat, protein) but insufficient vitamins and minerals (in particular the micronutrients iron, iodine, zinc, and vitamin A) are consumed, resulting in various physiological disorders and increased susceptibility to disease.
Moreover, although most individuals suffering from undernutrition are food insecure, an individual or household can be food secure but undernourished. For example, an individual who is food secure but suffers from frequent and severe bouts of diarrhea will not be able to use the food for growth and development and will experience undernutrition. Conversely, a hungry person may not necessarily be undernourished if the hunger is only of a temporary nature, having only been experienced for a few days.
Overnutrition: Malnutrition due to an excess of certain nutrients such as saturated fats and added sugars in combination with low levels of physical activity that may result in obesity, heart disease and other circulatory disorders, diabetes, and similar diseases. While individuals suffering from overnutrition are food secure, they do not enjoy nutrition security, and although the majority of malnourished individuals in Africa are undernourished, problems of overnutrition are also present.
Vulnerability: The presence of factors that place people at risk of becoming food insecure or malnourished, whether due to loss of access to food, proper nutritional care, or an inability to physiologically utilize available food because of infection or other disease.
