Windows 8: From Type to Touch
Microsoft has launched their much awaited & most advanced operating system as Windows 8 which is a big leap in the world of PC OPERATING SYSTEM (OS).There are salient & eye catching features in it.
1. Graphical User Interface:
There no start button as we have seen in all previous version from windows 95 to windows 7. No pop up of columns will now come with the start button. All icons will appear on the screen as Tiles as well as windows boot .From the very beginning user will get different tastes as user directly access any program installed in the pc directly from the screen. Live Tiles are the most important features of Windows8.
2. Enhanced Graphics:
Eye-catching graphics is another plus-point of Windows 8. Smooth layout, more detailed design along with soft colour gives a calm environment which will allow user to be attatched with longer time than before. Both – program & application run in background without eating-up much memory .
3. Touch & Sensitivity:
Gone are the old days of type! Now its Generation Y era who likes cool gadgets & applications .Google, Apple, Samsung - all already introduced “Touch†technology % years ago. Its was demand that Microsoft have to do something because the rivals were far ahead by introducing “Touch†technology. Microsoft introduced much awaited touch technology in Windows 8.User can run this OS without typing any word. This is also a new thing in the world of PC OS.
4. Cloud Storage:
Western Mobile companies now offering Cloud storage with new handsets as bundle offer. First time Microsoft offering this with Windows 8.Initially new user will get free lifetime 7GB cloud storage. There are options to enhance the capacity upto 25 GB. Mind it, We already shifting towards Cloud-Computing which is hustle free, secure & easily manageable.
5. Integrated Applications:
Windows 8 comes with many more Integrated cool applications like mail, Bing Search, Internet Explorer 10,People Hub ( accessible google+, facebook, Twitter N linkedin addressbook in a single floor), calendar etc which makes it more user friendly.
In summing up, Microsoft already placed its card on the table. Lets people do the verdict. I am waiting for “apple†– what will their answer to Microsoft specially when the Legend Steve Jobes Is not With his magic touch. Yes, all Windows based OS are more vulnerable than Mac, Ubantu & Linux. High-end programs still requires Linux for reliable security. All we know Linux is far far ahead of any Windows based OS regarding data-security.
