গুণে ভরা আম



আম যদিও আমাদের জাতীয় ফল নয়, তবে অবশ্যই প্রিয় ফল। এমন মানুষ খুঁজে পাওয়া
যাবে না, যে আম খেতে পছন্দ করে না। আম কাঁচা অথবা পাকা যেভাবেই খাওয়া হোক
তা আমাদের শরীরের জন্য খুবই উপকারী। অনেক ক্ষেত্রে পাকা আমের তুলনায় কাঁচা
আমের গুণ আরও বেশি। কাঁচা আমের গুণাগুণ সম্পর্কে জেনে সত্যিই অবাক হতে হয়।

জেনে নিন কাঁচা আমের উপকারিতা:

*আমাদের শরীরের রক্ত পরিস্কার রাখে
*কাঁচা আম স্মৃতিশক্তি বাড়াতে সাহায্য করে
*ক্যারোটিন ও ভিটামিন সমৃদ্ধ কাঁচা আম চোখ ভালো রাখে
*বিটা ক্যারোটিন থাকায় হার্টের সমস্যা প্রতিরোধে সাহায্য করে
*পটাশিয়ামের অভাব পূরণ করে
*কাঁচা আমে প্রচুর পরিমাণে আয়রন থাকায় রক্তসল্পতা সমস্যা সমাধানে বেশ উপকারী

Mango is very helpful for our health.
 health benefits of mango-
 1.  Prevents Cancer:
Research has shown antioxidant compounds in mango fruit have been found to protect against colon, breast, leukemia and prostate cancers. These compounds include quercetin, isoquercitrin, astragalin, fisetin, gallic acid and methylgallat, as well as the abundant enzymes.

2.  Lowers Cholesterol:
The high levels of fiber, pectin and vitamin C help to lower serum cholesterol levels, specifically Low-Density Lipoprotein (the bad stuff)

3.  Clears the Skin:
Can be used both internally and externally for the skin. Mangos clear clogged pores and eliminate pimples. (Read more on page 5.)

4.  Eye Health:
One cup of sliced mangoes supplies 25 percent of the needed daily value of vitamin A, which promotes good eyesight and prevents night blindness and dry eyes.

5.  Alkalizes the Whole Body:
The tartaric acid, malic acid, and a trace of citric acid found in the fruit help to maintain the alkali reserve of the body.

6. Helps in Diabetes:
Mango leaves help normalize insulin levels in the blood.  The traditional home remedy involves boiling leaves in water, soaking through the night and then consuming the filtered decoction in the morning. Mango fruit also have a relatively low glycemic index (41-60) so moderate quantities will not spike your sugar levels.

7. Improved Source of Vitamin E:
Mangoes are a great source of vitamin E. Even though the popular connection between sex drive and vitamin E was originally created by a mistaken generalization on rat studies, further research has shown balanced proper amounts (as from whole food) does help in this area.

8. Improves Digestion:
Papayas are not the only fruit that contain enzymes for breaking down protein. There are several fruits, including mangoes, which have this healthful quality. The fiber in mangos also helps digestion and elimination.

Very relevant posting for this summer season when we all relish a lot of juicy and delicious fruits. From this post we can learn about the food value of mangoes. But in recent years the scenario has changed. Our dishonest business men are using calcium carbide as a ripening agent for mangoes. as a result, they do not need to wait for a certain time to get the ripe mango. Rather they are getting ripe mangoes within a very short time using this poisonous chemical on the unripe mangoes. But do they ever think of the consequence of consuming these poisonous mangoes? May be they remain blind of the fact thinking of their instant profit earning. But we, the consumers, should be aware of the bad effect of this calcium carbide on our health. Consumption of carbide ripened fruits is extremely hazardous for health, mainly for the nervous system. Acetylene, generated from carbide reduces oxygen supply to the brain. In acute stage, it causes headache, vertigo,dizziness,delirium, seizure and even coma. In the long term, it may produce mood disturbance and loss of memory too. Immediately after consumption, there may be abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhoea.
