Medicinal herbs constitute an indispensable component of the traditional medicine practiced worldwide due to their economical viability, accessibility and ancestral experience. Plant-based medicinal products have been used to control pain in the traditional medicinal systems. Numerous medicinal plants have been studied and validated for their analgesic properties using animal models.
There are great numbers of evidence suggesting that the use carefully chosen herbal remedies can help to prevent diabetes and to keep it under control in those people who have already developed it. Herbal remedies and dietary supplement and correct life style changes, all together in combination may reduce or eliminate the need of medication in diabetes. It also helps in preventing some of the tissue and organ damage associated with uncontrolled blood sugar levels.There are some evidence that this fruit has pain reducing activity.
Despite the availability of a vast spectrum of approaches for diarrhoeal management, vast majority of the people have been known to treat diarrhea with a variety of medicinal plants one of which being Dillenia indica Linn., belongs to the family Dilleniaceae , is the most common edible species.
The leaf, bark and fruit of this plant are used as traditional medicine.The juice of D.Indica leaves, bark and fruits are mixed and given orally( 5-15ml, two to five times daily)
