4 dieting don'ts

For all those who love dieting, here are a couple of things that you need to know if you want to lose weight and feel great about yourself.

Do not skip meals
If you think that by not eating, you will lose weight — then you are wrong. Skipping meals may actually contribute to weight gain — and certainly won't aid you in losing. If you want to lose weight the proper way, make sure that you eat five small meals a day rather than eating one or two big meals. Eating small meals throughout the day will ensure that you stay clear of those hunger pangs. And secondly it will also keep your metabolism rocking, which will help burn extra calories.

Don't forget to count your calories
Counting calories are actually the best way to healthy eating and weight loss. Make sure you make a note of each calorie consumed. For example if you are eating a salad, do not forget to count the calories in the topping or the dressing. The same goes for whatever you are drinking.

Do not dehydrate
It is extremely important to stay hydrated when you are dieting. For example, you might find that you are lot less hungry if you are constantly sipping on water. If you dehydrate yourself, it will manifest hunger rather than thirst.

Do not ignore carbs
If you think that going off carbs will help you lose weight, you are definitely wrong. Fibre is known to be a dieter's friend! Not only does it keep your digestive system functioning well but it also but it also keeps you feeling fuller for a long period of time.
