South African cricket prodigy Quinton de Kock has said that he is ready to go back to four-day cricket, bide his time and score some runs to be in contention for the Proteas Test squad.

According to Sport24, De Kock recently joined teammate and ODI captain AB De Villiers, Herschelle Gibbs and Pakistan duo of Saeed Anwar and Zaheer Abbas in the club of three successive century makers in the format.

The 20-year-old was admonished for playing recklessly by De Villiers as he closed in on his third consecutive ton against India in a rain-curtailed third ODI against India in the Centurion, the report said.

De Kock was not picked for the two Tests against India despite his prolific run but the wicketkeeper-batsman said he is undeterred, the report added.
