I have not much idea that which version autocad software best! Personally, used autocad for FUN  few year ago, i have an older version autocad copy in my collection.

bdw,
i'm recommending you to buy dvd or collect from friend via pendrive or LAN file sharing(if possible)
downloading 1.5GB file is not a smarter way.
