My Beloved Gaza I woke up from my sleep,
As the ground trembled violently.
I wonder what it is?
Then I realize it's another one of those missiles sent to destroy my beautiful city.
I get up from my bed and walk towards my parents room.
Seeing the room empty I wonder where they have been,
Then I recall that painful moment when I saw them getting killed infront of my own eyes.
I walk back towards the water pitcher to have a glass of water,
I drop into the ground remorsefully seeing the pitcher empty,
But then I suddenly remember that it's the holy month of Ramadan and I should continue fasting.
As I walk back towards my room,
I wonder hadn't the emissions from the missile attacks that have been going inside my mouth already broken my fast?
My eyes swell with tears as I remember what my beloved Gaza used to be once.
I remember how the streets of my city used to be busy like an ant colony,
And now they are empty like the plate of a beggar.
I remember how I used to play hide and seek with my friends, But now they are all dead buried under the debris of one building or the other.
My eyes swell with tears as I remember what my beloved Gaza used to be once
As I lie back in my bed,
A loud noise deafens my ears and makes everything go black. After a while as I wipe the dust from my face I realize I am underneath the debris of my house.
I try to get up but I stop after I see my legs lying apart motionless in front of me as I loose my senses I see a bright light and I see my parents standing beside it.
As I go towards the light without any pain,
My eyes swell with tears as I remember what my beloved Gaza used to be once.

May Allah save Gaza from this brutality.
