marketing myopia-short sightedness
« on: April 10, 2011, 01:42:05 PM »
Myopia means short sightedness. marketing myopia means narrow-minded approach to a marketing situation where only short-range goals are considered. Or, where the marketing focuses on only one aspect out of many possible marketing attributes. Because of its shortsightedness, it is a mistake. It pays more attention to specific issues rather than the benefits and experiences derived from them.

Dear Sir: I ‘m agreeing with you. Narrow-mind or short-cut ways could not be a good decision for an organization. If any organization wants to develop or survive in this competitive era they should always think as bigger.

"You can fool the whole world but you cannot fool yourself." The foolish think that they are always right and have got all the power. Power is something momentary and the Almighty is supreme owner of it

Whoever wants to be a leader should educate himself before educating others. Before preaching to others he should first practice himself. Whoever educates himself and improves his own morals is superior to the man who tries to teach and train others. -Imam Ali (AS), Nahjul Balagha

success in life!

"Most people are busy thinking HOW to make more and more money, when the larger question is WHY make so much money?
Or better still, people are running around to find out HOW to be successful in a socially-defined way. Instead, I believe that you should ask WHY be successful and you might get real perspectives. " Quazi M Ahmed

"I always ask my associates to find the answer of 'WHY'. If you carefully think about this, we can find the purpose of our lives in this world. Money is not everything, but its the part of everything. However, success is everything. To be successful in life, we need to find the purpose of our lives. the responsibilities for our family, friends, neighbors, society, and for the country. As Zig Ziglar said, "If you help everyone to achieve their dreams, you'll get EVERYTHING what you want in life." and I really believe that. And I found the way to serve millions of people, which leads me into the greatness!"

A good leader is a visionary person who can foresee the future. Many leaders are shortsighted and have narrow-minded approach or narrow understanding to a particular situation. Short sightedness is so common is that people feel that they cannot accurately predict the future. Good leaders and managers should look beyond their current activities. Focusing on small issues might hamper future prospects. In Marketing, it's called marketing myopia which is the mistake of paying more attention to the specific issues than to the benefits and experiences produced by the same.

IF YOU ARE POOR!!!
« Reply #7 on: April 23, 2011, 02:08:29 PM »

"If you are poor then someone else is heavily in debt. If you don't have a car then someone else doesn't have TWO legs. If you are ill, then someone else has been bedridden for years. If you have lost a parent then someone else has lost both parents in a single accident. So, don't be sad. You are a Muslim & you have been blessed with faith & that is the greatest blessing of all.."
