Shamim Ansary:

Date of birth :17 February 1899 in Barisal
Parent : His father was Satyananda Das, was a schoolteacher and founder editor of the Brahmabadi. His mother was Kusumkumari Das also wrote poetry.
Education : Jibanananda completed his Matriculation in 1915 from Barisal Brajamohan School, IA in 1917 from B M College, BA with Honours in English in 1919 and MA in 1921 from Presidency College. And studied law for some time
Death :22 October 1954 by a tram accident in Kolkata

About two hundred stories was written by him. Jibanananda Dasher Galpa (Stories of Jibanananda Das, 1972) is a collection of his short stories. His complete works can be found on Jibanananda Samagra (The Complete Works of Jibanananda, 1985-96) in 12 volumes, as
Award :
Banalata Sen was awarded by Nikhil Banga Rabindra Sahitya Sammelan (1953),
"Jibanananda Dasher Shrestha Kavita" was awarded by Sahitya Akademi Award (1954).
