Sobe Barat
« on: August 07, 2009, 07:15:57 PM »
Jesus(pbuh) never claimed divinity, rather he said, "i cast out devil with the spirit of GOD" n "my father is greater than I" but most followers believe in trinity; father, son n holy spirit. Buddah never said "make a statue of me or worship me but followers r doing as such. According to Bedha, there is no image of God, no protima but followers r doing the opposite. So plz don't look at the followers, rather let's go back to the scriptures. Most of the scholars except one termed sobe barat as beedat, innovation that destroys good deeds. Sobe borat is only observed in the subcontinent.

Those who worship the natural elements enter darkness (Air, Water, Fire, etc.). Those who worship sambhuti sink deeper in darkness. [Yajurveda 40:9]; Sambhuti means created things, for example table, chair, idol, etc.

Religion is distorted by followers.....we all should study more and more. All we do is hear and follow. Beedat means innovation.
Beedat is what our prophet(pbuh) never did himself or told others to do. I saw many people putting candles on the graveyard on the occasion of Sobe Borat. Faith should be based on true knowledge...

Let's not follow BEEDAT lest the true religion might perish oneday. Very often followers distort a religion showing too much devotion. Idol worship is one such innovation..

According to Qur'an, Lailatul Mubarak refers to Sobe kadar when Allah bestows everything on everybody's fate. Sobe Kadar can be on the odd numbers of the 10 last days of the Ramadan.

Most of the Hadiths relating to Sobe Barat are weak and fake. Most scholars, if not all, with regard to this supplication at night is concerning saying that the 15th night of Sha`ban is the night on which every wise command is decided and made clear, quoting this from a Qur’anic verse. This is not right. According to `Ikrimah, he who says so cannot be right at any rate, for the verse referred to here states clearly that the Qur’an was revealed in this night. It is established that the Qur’an was revealed in the Night of Qadr and this night is in the month of Ramadan, not Sha`ban.

Scholars have differed concerning observing night vigil Prayer on the 15th night of Sha`ban in congregations in mosques. As to whether the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) observed night vigil Prayer on this night, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would regularly observe night vigil Prayers during nights, and observing night vigil Prayer on this night is like doing so during the other nights.

Ask Allah for mercy and everything at late night silently and stealthily and alone, According to Al Qur'an

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) celebrated this night individually, not in congregation with his Companions. Neither he (peace and blessings be upon him) nor his Companions (may Allah be pleased with all of them) would offer celebrations on this night as people do nowadays.
