চাকরি নেই, না দক্ষ লোকের অভাব?
Md. Fouad Hossain Sarker:
No doubt that we have lack incredible potential personnel who may work in any suitable position in effectively and efficiently. In this connection university graduates have to change their mindset and develop their skills and potentiality which have market values and demand. Otherwise they will not survive in this 21st century.

All the issues mentioned in this article are the product of ignorance caused by the improper education system we currently have. It is not right to blame the students rather the existing system and policymakers are to be blamed. I have tried to elaborate my viewpoint on the matter in an article I have written years back. So responsibility should be shared by all from their end.

Thanks to the writer for writing this contemporary issue.
Actually, we need to ensure good quality students at the university entrance first. In that case, root level (primary & secondary) teaching must be focused to guide them on the right track. To reduce the language barrier in higher education, entrance to university should not only based on admission test but also should set criteria for minimum language skills for which IELTS/TOEFL score may be considered or university approved examination system may be used to evaluate their eligibility to admit. There may another way to raise language skills by providing students with one semester (1st semester) mandatory language training courses (both English and Bengali). After successful completion of the first semester regular course curriculum may be started. I think if authority ensures these steps, the job market will embrace students willingly to provide them the job they deserve.

It is a crying need to address the issue and to go for a plan to ensure practical based learning along with theoretical knowledge. Curriculum planning should be revised by the policy makers to keep pace with the demand of the current world.
We are to be the knowledge seekers rather than grade seekers.
