SIGNS OF ALLAH S.W.T. IN THE UNIVERSE

We will soon show them Our Ayats (proofs, evidences,
lessons, signs, revelation, etc.)in the Universe and in their own souls, until it will become quite clear to them that it( the Quran) is the truth. Is it not sufficient as regards your Lord that He is a witness over all things? Soorat Fussilat{41:53}

And say: Praise be to Allah, He will show you His signs so that you shall recognize them; nor is your Lord heedless of what you do.Soorat Al Naml {27:93}


He has made subject to you the Night and the Day; the sun and the moon; and the stars are in subjection by His Command: verily in this are Signs for men who are wise. Soorat An Nahl {16:12}[/b][/size][/size]
Our sun has a surface temperature of about 6,000°C.

The Sun is traveling at the enormous speed of 720,000 kilometers an hour.

A single sun burst is equivalent to 100 billion atomic bombs similar to the one dropped on Hiroshima.

A smaller star than the Sun would cause the Earth to grow extremely cold, and a bigger star would scorch the Earth[/size].

Among His Signs are the Night and the Day, and the Sun and the Moon. Do not prostrate to the sun and the moon, but prostrate to Allah, Who created them, if it is Him you wish to serve. Soorat Fussilat {41:37}

Neither is it allowable to the sun that it should overtake the moon, nor can the night outstrip the day; and all float on in a sphere.Soorat Yasin{36:40}
If gravitational interaction with moon were less, orbital obliquity changes would cause climatic instabilities.

If gravitational interaction with moon were greater, tidal effects on the oceans, atmosphere, and rotational period would be too severe.

Earth could not be a home for life if it were as near the sun as Venus is or as far from it as Jupiter.

[SIZE="3"]Who created the seven heavens one above another; you see no fault in the creation of the Beneficent Allah; then look again, can you see any disorder?
Then look again and yet again, thy sight will return unto thee weakened and made dim.Soorat Al Mulk{67:3-4} [/size]
There are over 250 billion stars in the Milky Way.

The distance between stars in our galaxy is about 30 million miles. If this distance was much less, planetary orbits would be destabilized.

And He has set up on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and rivers and roads; that you may guide yourselves.Soorat An Nahl {16:15}
The pressure the mountains exert on the crust of the earth with their enormous mass prevents the magma movements in the core of the earth from reaching the earth and destroying the earth's crust.

If thickness of crust were thinner, volcanic and tectonic activity would be too great.

And among His Signs, He shows you the lightning, by way both of fear and of hope, and He sends down rain from the sky and with it gives life to the earth after it is dead: verily in that are Signs for those who are wise. Soorat Al Ruum {30:24}
Every cloud contains thousands—sometimes millions—of tons of water in the form of vapor.

Every year, the amount of water that evaporates and that falls back to the Earth in the form of rain is "constant": 513 trillion tons.

The speed of rain drops, regardless of their size, does not exceed 8 meters in a second.

SIGNS OF ALLAH S.W.T. IN THE PLANET KINGDOM

He Who has made for you the fire (to burn) from the green tree, and behold! with it you kindle (fire).Soorat Yasin{36:80}
Have you observed the fire which you strike out; Is it you that produce the trees for it, or are We the producers?Soorat Waqia{56:71-72}[/size]
Plants absorb 129 billion tons of carbon-dioxide from the atmosphere for the purposes of cleaning every year.

Without photosynthesis, plant life could not exist; and without plant life, there would be no animal or human life.

If plants didn't release oxygen, the oxygen-breathers would eventually use up all the free oxygen in the atmosphere and that would be the end of them.

Carbon is the basis of life on earth because all organic molecules (such as nucleic acids, amino acids, proteins, fats, and sugars) are formed by the combination of carbon with other elements in various ways.

The trees in a thousand square meter area of forest can comfortably put 7.5 tons of water into the atmosphere.

We would need over five hundred years to count the number of atoms inside a tiny grain of salt.

SIGNS OF ALLAH S.W.T. IN THE ANIMAL KINGDOM:

And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the living creatures that He has scattered through them: and He has power to gather them together when He wills.Soorat Ash Shura {42:29}
Will they not then consider the Camels, how they are created?Soorat Al Ghashiya {88:17}
Camels can consume up to 130 liters of water, which is around one third of their body weight, in almost 10 minutes.

Although a humped camel can take in 30-50 kilograms of food in a day, in tough conditions it is able to live up to one month with only 2 kg of grass a day.

The camel can survive without food and water for eight days at a temperature of 50°C.

Desert camels are not affected by high temperatures up to 50°C, and double-humped Bactrian camels can survive in very low temperatures down to -50°C.

The camel increases its internal temperature to 41°C and as such keeps water loss to a minimum in the extreme hot climates of the desert daytime.

When giraffes bend down, the valves in their neck vessels are shut down and they prevent excess blood from flowing to the brain.

The trunks of elephants contain 50,000 muscles.

Polar bear can swim in icy cold waters with speeds of 10-11 km/hour for distances of about 2,000 km.


Do they not observe the birds above them, spreading their wings and folding them in? None can uphold them except (Allah) Most Gracious: Truly (Allah) Most Gracious: Truly it is He that watches over all things.Soorat Mulk{67:19}[/size]
A falcon maintains absolute balance while diving for its prey at a speed of 384 km/h.

A mother bird understands whether her chicks need food or not from the colours of their gapes(opening of mouth)

And your Lord revealed to the bee saying: Make hives in the mountains and in the trees and in what they build: Then to eat of all the produce (of the earth), and find with skill the spacious paths of its Lord: there issues from within their bodies a drink of varying colours, wherein is healing for men: verily in this is a Sign for those who give thought. Soorat An Nahl {16:68-69}

Bees produce a substance called “propolis” that has the feature of not allowing any bacteria to live in it.

Honeybees, wasps and flies flap their wings 200 to 400 times per second. This rate goes up to 1,000 in sandflies and some 1mm long parasites.

SIGNS OF ALLAH S.W.T. IN THE HUMAN BODY:

We have honoured the children of Adam; provided them with transport on land and sea; given them for sustenance things good and pure; and conferred on them special favours, above a great part of our creation. Soorat Al Isra {17:70}

We have indeed created man in the best of moulds. Soorat At Tin {95:4}[/size]

A single human brain can process work equivalent to that of 4.5 million transistors on a modern microprocessor.

About 10 billion cells in the brain have about 120 trillion connections.

There are about 100 trillion cells in the human body. Some of these cells are so tiny that even 1 million of them together hardly cover a space as large as the pointed end of a pin.

The heart connects the 100 trillions cells in the human body one by one.

Every minute 200 million cells in our bodies are produced to replace dead cells.

The DNA of a single cell contains the design of 206 bones, 600 muscles, a network of 10,000 auditory muscles, a network of 2 million optic nerves, 100 billion nerve cells, and 100 trillion cells in the body.

If the information in DNA were put in the form of a book, these books put on top of each other would reach 70 meters high.(which equals 229.658 792 651 feet).

Scientists have also calculated how long it would take to type the gene map of a human and they concluded that a person typing 60 words per minute and working 8 hours a day would take fully a half-century to complete this momentous task. They also stated that approximately 200 telephone directories of 500 pages apiece could be filled with the information contained in DNA.

Then He fashioned him in due proportion, and breathed into him something of His spirit. And He gave you (the faculties of) hearing and sight and feeling (and understanding): little thanks do ye give! Soorat As Sajda{32:9}[/size]

The heart beats approximately 100,000 times a day.

Our heart pumps about 43,000 liters of blood per day.

The human kidneys filter about 140 liters of blood every day through one million small filtering units.

A normal human body has about 5 billion capillaries whose total length, if stretched out, is about 950 kilometers.

Say: "Have you considered, if Allah took away your hearing and your sight, and sealed up your hearts, who - a god other than Allah - could restore them to you?" See how We explain the signs by various (symbols); yet they turn aside. Soorat Al Anaam {6:46}

The simplest cells have roughly 2,000 different types of proteins.

A brain cell is in constant interaction with others numbering up to 10,000. This communication network is far more complex than all the switchboards in the world.

The human eye works by some 40 different parts functioning together.
Is He then Who creates like him who does not create? Do you not then receive admonition?
And If you would count up the favours of Allah, never would you be able to number them: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. Soorat An Nahl {16:17-18}

Human bones are both stronger and 10 times more flexible than solid steel. Also, bones are much more lightweight than steel. A carcass made of steel would be 3 times heavier than a human skeleton.

The nasal bones are especially structured so that the air inhaled can go to the lungs only after circulating several times in the nose and thus warming up.

Even for a faint smile, 17 muscles have to work together at the same time.

A liver cell is specialized enough to perform more than 500 operations at a time.
Does not man see that it is We Who created him from sperm? yet behold! he (stands forth) as an open adversary!And he makes comparisons for Us, and forgets his own (origin and) Creation: He says, "Who can give life to (dry) bones and decomposed ones (at that)?" Say, "He will give them life Who created them for the first time! for He is Well-versed in every kind of creation!-
Soorat Yasin{36:77-79}

Each red cell can carry 300 million hemoglobin molecules.

The lifespan of a red blood cell is about 120 days.

When we inhale, oxygen floods into about 300 million tiny chambers in our lungs.

If water were only slightly more viscous, it would be impossible for blood to be transported through the body's capillary system

Water makes up about 70of the human body.

Immune system elements that the baby needs, such as antibodies or defense cells, are given to the baby ready-made in the mother’s milk.

Although we believe that the world lies outside us, it is in the small visual center of our brain.

Colors and light are formed in our brains; there is no light and no color outside of our brains

Such are the Signs of Allah, which We rehearse to you in Truth; then in what exposition will they believe after (rejecting) Allah and His Signs? Woe to each sinful dealer in Falsehoods:
Who hears the communications of Allah recited to him, then persists proudly as though he had not heard them; so announce to him a painful punishment.

And when he learns something of Our Signs, he takes them in jest: for such there will be a humiliating Penalty.
In front of them is Hell: and of no profit to them is anything they may have earned, nor any protectors they may have taken to themselves besides Allah: for them is a tremendous Penalty.
This is (true) Guidance and for those who reject the Signs of their Lord, is a grievous Penalty of abomination.Soorat Al Jaathiya {45:6-11}

Say: "Consider all that is in the heavens and on earth"; but neither Signs nor Warners profit those who believe not. Soorat Younus {10:101}

Thus do We explain the aayaat {proofs, evidences, lessons, signs, revelation,
etc.} in detail, so that they may turn {unto the truth}. Soorat Al A'raaf {7:174}

And whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is Allah's; and Allah encompasses all things.

Soorat An Nisaa {4:126}

Glory to your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! And peace be on the messengers.

And Praise to Allah, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds. Soorat Al Saffat{37:180-182}

500 years of Worship

Angel Jibrail (alayhis salam) told RasulAllah (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) the following incident about a man in the past who worshipped Allah Ta'ala continuously for 500 years. He was granted a shelter on top of a mountain that was surrounded by salty water. However, Allah caused a stream of sweet water to flow through the mountain for that individual. The man would drink from this water and use it to make ablution. Allah Ta'ala also raised a pomegranate tree from which the man would eat one fruit every day.
One day, this person supplicated to Allah that, "Oh Allah, bring my death while I am in the state of prostration." Allah accepted this dua of his. Whenever Jibrail (alayhis salam) came down to the Earth, he found this man prostrating to Allah.
 
Jibrail (alayhis salam) said that on the day of Judgement, Allah will tell the angels to take this individual to Paradise through His mercy. However, this man will insist that he should enter paradise through the good deeds that he had performed.

Then, Allah will tell the angels to compare his good deeds with the blessings that were given to him in the world. It will be seen that 500 years of his worship does not even equal to the gift of eye sight that was given to him by Allah. The angels will be asked to take him towards the hell fire. Then the man will plead, "Oh Allah! Enter me into Paradise only through Your mercy." At that point, the following discussion will take place between Allah and that man.

Allah: Oh my servant, who created you?

The worshipper: Oh Allah, You have created me.

Allah: Were you created because of the good deeds you have done or because of My mercy?

The worshipper: Because of Your mercy.

Allah: Who granted you the ability to worship for 500 years?

The worshipper: Oh the Almighty! You have granted me that ability.

Allah: Who placed you on the mountain surrounded by the ocean? Who caused a stream of sweet water to flow in between the salty water? Who caused a pomegranate tree to grow for you? Who granted you death while in the state of prostration?

The worshipper: Oh the Sustainer of the Worlds! You have done all of these.

Then Allah will say, "All these have happened due to My mercy and you too will enter Paradise only through My Mercy."


We can never thank Allah enough for the blessings that He has given us. Let us use these blessings to recognize Allah before death comes to us!
