DIU library has already been implemented a new Integrated Library Management Software (KOHA). There are thousands of libraries using Koha across the world, including Bangladesh. Library Software (Koha-Integrated Library Management system) has launched and given certificate to those who were participated in the Koha training in April 2011. The programme was presided over by Prof Dr M. Golam Mowla Chowdhury, proctor and head, department of ETE. Prof Dr Aminul Islam, Emeritus Professor was present at the programme as chief guest, while Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr M Lutfar Rahman was present as special guest. The programme was also addressed, among others, by Prof Dr S M Mahabub-Ul-Haque Majumder, controller of examinations and Dean, FSIT, Dr Md Fokhray Hossain, registrar. INASP, UK was financed for training and implementing the software.This software is very sophisticated, user friendly and latest technology for the library in the era. Users can give their suggestions, holding their desired books and keeping their searching history. All bibliographical records are also seen with images in the system .
