‘সবক্ষেত্রে প্রযুক্তি, দেশ ও দশের উন্নতি’ স্লোগান নিয়ে আজ বুধবার চট্টগ্রামে শুরু হচ্ছে পাঁচ দিনের তথ্যপ্রযুক্তি মেলা। ‘বিসিএস ডিজিটাল এক্সপো চট্টগ্রাম ২০১২’ নামের এ মেলা হবে চট্টগ্রাম নগরের এম এ আজিজ স্টেডিয়াম-সংলগ্ন জেলা ক্রীড়া সমিতির জিমনেসিয়াম মিলনায়তনে। মেলার আয়োজন করেছে বাংলাদেশ কম্পিউটার সমিতি (বিসিএস) চট্টগ্রাম শাখা। চট্টগ্রাম প্রেসক্লাব মিলনায়তনে গতকাল মঙ্গলবার সকালে এক সংবাদ সম্মেলনে এসব তথ্য জানান মেলার কেন্দ্রীয় সমন্বয়কারী ও বিসিএসের সহসভাপতি মো. মঈনুল ইসলাম।

সংবাদ সম্মেলনে জানানো হয়, মেলায় প্রতিদিন তথ্যপ্রযুক্তি-বিষয়ক সেমিনার এবং সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করা হয়েছে। এতে ২৬টি প্রতিষ্ঠানের ৫০টি স্টল এবং ছয়টি প্যাভিলিয়নে থাকবে।পণ্যের পাশাপাশি প্রদর্শক প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলোর আয়োজনে থাকবে কুইজ প্রতিযোগিতাও। মেলার প্লাটিনাম স্পনসর কম্পিউটার সোর্স লি. এবং গোল্ড স্পনসর আসুস, স্যামসাং, এসার ও কম্পিউটার সলিউশন ইঙ্ক।মেলায় প্রবেশমূল্য ধরা হয়েছে ১০ টাকা। তবে স্কুলের শিক্ষার্থীরা পরিচয়পত্র দেখিয়ে বিনা মূল্যে প্রবেশ করতে পারবে। আজ মেলার উদ্বোধনী দিনে বিকেল পাঁচটা থেকে রাত আটটা পর্যন্ত মেলা চলবে।
